“A big old hurricane

is blowing our way

knocking over the buildings

killing all the light

open your eyes, boy, we made it through the night”

As the three of you who read this blog know, my parents live in Houston where Hurricane Ike hit last night. I got a text message from my dad and they are fine–they made it through the night They don’t have electricity but since the roads are closed, they’re going to stay put (”hunker down” if you will) for the time being. That’s all for now.

Side note: I’m still trying to think of a new blog title. Let me know what you guys think.
