My Little Corner

Update time: HP was great, I really enjoyed the movie and thought they did a fine job of highlighting the important parts of the book without me wanted to "just get over it" in response to Harry’s teenage angst and anger. I went to Austin on Saturday with Jamie and got to see the rest of the fam, which was great. Randomly went to the lake today which was fun but I sorta sprained my ankle (it hurts and is slightly swollen but nothing too horrible). I made a "big to do list" which includes the major things coming up in my life and is kinda scary to look at but it all has to get done. Going to ice and elevate the ankle and hopefully fall asleep soon. I have my last summer final on Wednesday, then another week of practicum and then I get to go to Colorado! That’s all for now.

Roommate Sarah had never seen any of the HP movies, although she has read all the books to date. So we started watching the movies last week and finished HP and the Goblet of Fire earlier tonight. Now I’m super excited about the next movie, which comes out at midnight! I’m not going to the midnight showing (don’t think I could stay awake for the whole thing–grad school has aged me) but our Wednesday afternoon class is canceled tomorrow so LB, Susan, Susan’s roommate, and I are going to see it then. It’s also gearing me up for the next book, which I have pre-ordered. Bonus, I will be done with finals by the time book 7 arrives. woohoo!

In other news, still getting panic-y feelings when I look for externships. Third year project seems to be getting bigger and scarier the more work I put into it. Fall semester–due to scheduling changes and moving up the due date for finished projects–is NOT going to be the easy semester we were promised by the class above us. Sigh. The spring semester should be good and relaxing though so I just have to make it ’til then. But right now, I’m way excited about Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
