Merry Christmas!

Home again

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

My semester is over and I am back at my parents’ house for 3 weeks. That’s a lot of doing nothing but I’m way excited about it. I’ve had some boy issues since I’ve been home but I’m working through those (and trying to gently break some hearts). Thanks for the "Frientser Smile" Stu–it really did brighten my day of responding to awkward emails. That’s all I’ve got for now.

’tis the Season

I know I haven’t updated (a real update) in a long time. School was absolutely crazy the past…well entire semester. But it’s over!! I had great plans on detailing all that I’ve had to do (and all the frustrations) over the past week but now that everything is done, I’m over it and don’t want to relive it.  Ok, so what’s been going on? Well, Granddaddy is doing much better and Mom is home in Houston–both really good things. The fam (Mom, Dad, Justin) came to my apartment for Thanksgiving, which made me feel like a real adult. It was a great break but it was hard to go back to doing school things. LB bought a dog, Nick, and he likes to hang out at our house (which I like–I get the perks of a dog but don’t have to take care of a dog!). Sarah is going to teach me how to drive a stick this weekend–all in preparation for The Amazing Race! I have absolutely no idea what to get anyone for Christmas–or even what to ask for! Our Christmas tree is up (with my stuffed Dairy Fairy as our tree topper–a brilliant idea that I stole from my cousin) and I have The Smell of Christmas candle burning. I am ready for the holidays (and the break from school). Our small group had a cookie decorating party tonight; lots of laughs and lots of weird looking cookies. Here’s a pic of a ginger bread man gone very, very wrong.

And of me making him.

At least he tasted good! Happy day to all of you who read My Little Corner!
