there’s not enough time."
I like my little life. I believe I’ve mentioned this before. School takes up most of my time but, for most of the time, I don’t mind this. This is not so at the end of the semester. I have 3 weeks before finals week. And in these next 4 weeks I have to (start and) finish the following:
–call 10 museums in the area to inquire about their accommodations for people with hearing loss and then rank them
–write a "literature review" on whether adult aural rehabilitation is beneficial (don’t really know what the heck that means but it’s not looking good seeing as how the literature basically says there is no evidence to support either side)
–make up a tutorial for parents/teachers on how to interface FM systems with different types of equipment
–make up an "evidence-based" practice power point (again, not really sure what that is supposed to mean but it’s the big catch-phrase now-a-days)
–observe a deaf-ed class in Plano
–return to said deaf-ed class in Plano four times to do auditory training therapy with a child (I should probably mention here that our prof has not explained auditory training yet and I have no available time during the children’s school day to do this project and I chose audiology so I wouldn’t have to do this type of therapy because I don’t like doing this type of therapy) and turn in all the paper work with the goals and objectives and all of that
–finish my the labs from the entire semester (still waiting on our lab instructor to tell us what we need to turn in)
–go to an assisted living home and give a presentation on working with people who have hearing loss
–study for 2 finals (at least I only have 2, right?)
Could I have started on any of these earlier in the semester, you ask? In truth, yes. But honestly there are only two projects (accommodations and evidence based practice for those who want to know) which could have been started prior to this week. It will all get done because it has to and I’m not one to just not finish my work. I only mention this to a) complain a little bit and b) let you know that I will be very busy and might not be around much. Yay for school. Thinking positively–I get student discounts for the next four years.
