Tuesday night

Tuesday, March 28th, 2006

that means The Amazing Race! and Gilmore Girls, but it was a rerun today so not as excited about it.
I love this show and I still really really really want to be on it!
That’s all.

p.s. what’s up with the random ads in between my posts? not a fan of that

“It’s just like I’d dreamed it would be!”

Amy and I went to see Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville tonight. Yes, you read that correctly: Linda and Aaron. It was amazing! I grew up listening to Linda’s songs so each one struck a chord in me. Loved it! Encore of "Desperado" was the icing on the cake. (how many cliches can I put in one post?)
Must finish my project that’s due tomorrow. Good thing I’m pumped full of energy after the concert!

p.s. extra points to the person who names what song this post’s title comes from (shouldn’t be too hard to guess!)

Rain rain go away

Sunday, March 19th, 2006

come again another day. It has been raining since Friday night. Non-stop.
At first, it wasn’t too bad. The thunder woke me up from my nap so I could catch the midnight movie, which was a good thing. It helped me sleep in on Saturday morning while I was recovering from staying up during the midnight movie. It let up a little bit as I was walking to Bass Hall from my car–I went to  a wedding at Bass Hall! (it was very pretty). I got to see Mary, which is always a blast. :) It stormed like crazy Saturday night. That wasn’t so much fun. Rained hard Sunday morning so we only had one kiddo in the special needs class–which was a nice break from the six we had last month! I took a nice long nap while it rained all afternoon. I went to the grocery store during a lull only to come out to my car during a downpour. I got soaked unloading my groceries. That really wasn’t fun. Now I’m all snuggled up in a blanket, watching TV and listening to the rain. It’s kinda fun. Getting ready for Grey’s Anatomy.

Spring Break ‘06

Saturday, March 11th, 2006

My first spring break of grad school:
Oscar watching party at Amy’s
road trip to Houston to see the ‘rents
day trip to Fort Worth with school friends
whole day spent in pj’s reading a book
clean living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom
visit hearing loss support group for class project
take cousin to airport, get rear-ended by Lexus, watch Lexus drive away without stopping to check on the people or the Saturn (thankfully cousin, self, and the Saturn are okay)
stay out until 2:30 a.m. watching 3 bands play with an old friend
find new apartment to live in after May
watch the entire first season of Grey’s Anatomy while doing laundry

with one day left, I’m impressed at what has been accomplished.
